Get on the Bus: Speakers

Our speakers, all community members eager to share their knowledge from stage. Without their dedication to their work this tour would not have been possible at all. During our tour the following speakers will present one or more sessions. All profiles presented here are sent in by the speakers themselves.

Alan Smith, MCT/MVP (profile)
Alan is form the north of England, and living in Stockholm Sweden, he has been working as a developer with Microsoft technologies since 1995, starting out with C++, and working with VB, ASP, SQL Server before moving to .net with the early betas. He has worked as a multimedia developer,  moved into web development, and then working as a systems architect. Since November 2003 he has been focusing on BizTalk Server, working as a consultant in the UK, then taking up a full time position as BizTalk developer/architect for KnowIT Consulting in Stockholm. He is also a certified trainer, and delivers BizTalk courses both from the Microsoft Official Curriculum, and the advanced “Deep Dive” training in partnership with QuickLearn. In his spare time he likes to get out of the city either cycling, kayaking, skiing, or long distance ice skating.

Magnus Björk, MCT/MVP (profile)
Magnus Björk is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). He is a consultant and trainer within Microsoft Exchange Server. Besides a burning interest in Exchange he never misses a Formula 1 race if he can decide. He owns and manages Mailmaster, which is a consultancy specializing in Exchange. Markus Rytterkull, MCT
Markus is a consultant within system developement and works at Avensia in Lund, a consultancy targeting eLearning, eMerchants and innovations. Became MCT in 2008 and the favourite courses are the .net and asp.net fundamentals courses. Have been working as a consultant on Microsofts plattforms since 1998 with web and windowsforms as his main objectives when the interest for architechture and methodology have not taken over.

Mattias Lind, MCT
Mattias Lind is a Microsoft SQL Server specialist, one of the first in Europe officially speaking about MS SQL Server 2008 about two years ago. He’s self employed since 2002 and a MCT for about ten years. Although he’s specializing in the database and BI area his roots come from the dark side with networking, security and directory services together with hardware technologies and operating systems. These skills is an advantage for Mattias when when he’s working with performance issues on SQL Server solutions which he almost likes as much as strapping the holsters and shoot with his old wild west pistols.

Mikael Nyström, MCT/MVP (profile)
Mikael is a consultant focusing and specializing in Midsize solutions. He speaks at several conferences each year, including TechEd EMEA, and TechEd US. He is also actively involved in communities like itproffs.se and has been awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in Essential Business Server. Mikael are also working answering questions for experten@microsoft.com, doing Tech Review for Microsoft training courses. He is known for his humorous style, doing live demos and with more than 25 years in the IT business hi has some real world examples to base his story on. His areas of expertise include: Windows Deployment (Servers and Clients), WinPE, MDT, USMT, WDS, MAPS, ACT, Windows Server, Windows Client, Virtual Server, Hyper-V, and SCVMM

Peter Sandin, MCT
Peter is a self employed trainer and consultant in the Microsoft infrastructure area. Favorite fields Is Active Directory, Security,  Deployment. As a MCT I have been training people  In MS AD since the start of it.  And some security training in the Microsoft area which has evolved since the “Trust worthy computing” started. He started as a consultant in the early 90’s and still going strong.

Tiberiu Covaci, MCT
Tiberiu started his developer career in 1991, but wasn't until 1994 that he got introduced into the Microsoft world of technologies. He moved from Romania to Sweden 1996, to work as a programmer. Since 2004 he is working as an independent trainer teaching .NET programming on all levels, but what he loves most is teaching introductory courses, because this gives him a chance to influence the future .NET programmers. Last year he was chosen Subject Matter Expert Microsoft certification exam, and now he is involved as a Technology Reviewer in some of the Microsoft courses that are under development. When he is not in the classroom he is doing research at Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He is a Group Leader for Sweden .NET User Group, and INETA Country Leader for Sweden.
